Hi, I’m Jordan.

I’m a professional web developer and multimedia art hobbyist.

I had been making WordPress websites for 5 years with RC Design before I was laid off a year ago. Being a life long art hobbyist, I decided to take some time to explore ways to make some extra money on the side with my artwork and also to reconsider the direction of my web development career.

I started a YouTube channel called Jordan’s Odyssey, where I post drawing videos and Shorts and I did some research into starting a business and using Printify as a secondary source of income. After getting comfortable with my progress on the artistic side of things, I switched my focus back to my web development goals.

I decided that, after becoming proficient with WordPress, I should modernize my skills with full stack JavaScript development. So aside from creating this website, most of my time now is being spent building a web app from scratch, using the MERN stack. You can read up on my progress with that project on my web page.

In my tool belt, I wield a variety of skills in full stack web development with WordPress and Javascript, and also creative skills in traditional art, digital art, graphic design, photography, videography, photo and video editing. I’m also a fantastic cook and I cut my own hair so if that doesn’t impress you then perhaps my insecurities are somewhat justified.

I have amassed a lot of skills over the years and I simply want to put them to good use so if you need another pair of hands and think I have what you need then I would love to hear from you. After a year of self reflection and recalibration, I’m very eager to get out of my room and back to work.

Catch me before I’m gone.

I’m Also an Artist

Making art was my first skill and is my oldest passion.

I started off drawing made up video game and movie characters when I was 10 years old and evolved to large scale realistic drawings in my 20’s.

What inspires me visually is my love for symbolism and storytelling in film, comics, books and games but I use these techniques to express my feelings toward major life experiences I’ve had, both positive and negative through realistic / surrealistic representations of enlightenment, compulsion, ego and the subconscious.

“Magical Realism” is a term I’ve come across and it perfectly describes the vibe of my artwork.
